Lady Jackets sweep Lady Dragons

Tuesday night the JV Lady Jackets defeated Shelbyville in two swift sets. Varsity also made quick work of the Lady Dragons in three sets with scores of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-12.
Emma Byrd led the team in assists. Sydney Brock was the leading defender with several digs. On Friday the Lady Jackets beat Evadale in four sets with scores of 25-20, 25-24, 15-25, and 25-22. The JV team also defeated the Lady Rebels in two sets.

The Lady Jackets will host Diboll at home on Friday, September 15th with JV beginning at 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday Sept, 19 they will travel to Newton for a JV and Varsity match up at 4:30 p.m.
This week the Varsity Yellowjacket Football team hosted East Texas Homeschool. Despite effort, the Jackets fell short right after halftime with a score of 0-46. On Friday, our young JV Yellowjackets were on the losing end against the Faith West Eagles with a score of 6-36. The Yellowjackets will host Mt Carmel at Aubry Bradley Stadium on Sept. 8 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. The JV team will travel to High Island on Sept. 24.
Chester’s cross-country teams will travel to Broaddus for a meet on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
