WOODVILLE – Crime Stoppers of Deep East Texas is assisting the Woodville Police Department in solving a jewelry theft and looking to the public for help.

Crime Stoppers reported that on last Monday, Nov. 27, that two individuals absconded with thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry from Bob’s Pawn Shop in Woodville. On the Crime Stoppers Facebook page, surveillance camera footage depicts the robbery.

The two individuals seen on the video, a Black man and woman, acted while employees were distracted. The male suspect removed a tray of jewelry from a display at the front of the store, tucked it under his shirt and walked out of the store. A capture from a second camera angle shows that the female suspect accompanying him visibly was aware of the crime, and positioned herself to hide his actions.

Crime Stoppers asks the public if anyone can identify either of the suspects to submit an anonymous tips via the website 639TIPS.com, or by phone at 936-639-TIPS. Crime Stoppers also has an app, which can be downloaded or accessed at 639TIPS.com/app.

Tipsters who provide tips directly to Crime Stoppers can do so anonymously, and the process from tip to eventual cash reward, if the information results in arrest, is done entirely anonymously.
