The Eagles lost to Neches 15-4 on Friday.

On offense, Zeth Dugat went 3-for-4 with 2 singles and a double, Dakota Campbell went 2-for-4 with 2 singles, and Nathan Smith went 2-for-4 with 2 singles and 2 RBIs.

On the mound, Dugat gave up 4 runs on 3 hits while striking out 5; Campbell gave up 3 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3; and Tristen Eddins gave up 8 runs on 5 hits with 2 strikeouts.

Centerville

The Bulldogs lost two games on the week, falling 10-0 to Chester on Feb. 19 and 25-2 against Slocum on Friday.

Ty Havard had the lone hit for Centerville against Chester. Wyatt Clede gave up 7 runs and 6 hits on the mound while striking out 4, while Eli Emmons gave up 1 run and 2 hits and Iain Kendrick gave up 2 runs and 3 hits with 1 strikeout.

Against Slocum, Havard, Trevor Hennigan, Landon Teeters and Brandon McWhorter each went 1-2 at the plate, with Teeters providing the lone RBI.

Havard, Kendrick, Emmons and Anthony Villanueva shared pitching duties.

Trinity

Aside from the Feb. 19 loss to Groveton, the Tigers lost to Grapeland 17-7 on Friday.

Groveton

The Indians went 2-2 in the Central Pollock tournament held over the weekend.

On Thursday, Groveton lost to Lovelady 8-0.

Jake Plotts and Cash Moore shared pitching duties, with Plotts tossing 7 strikeouts while giving up 5 runs and 4 hits, and Moore tossed 2 strikeouts while giving up 3 runs and 3 hits.

On Friday, Groveton lost to Centerville 6-3, but downed Shepherd 5-2.

Against Centerville, Dax Parker, Ty Torregrossa and Cade White each contributed a hit. Jack Sullivan gave up 6 runs on 7 hits with 4 strikeouts.

Against Shepherd, Parker and Trystin Ard each had 2 hits, and Logan Townsend cracked off a 3-run homer in the win.

Steubing got the win on the mound, tossing 8 strikeouts and allowing only 2 hits and 1 run.

Against Pollock Central, Billy Thomas led the offense with 2 hits, 2 RBIs and a double.

Torregrossa and Jackson Cathey shared mound duties, with Cathey tossing 5 strikeouts and Torregrossa 1.

On Feb. 20, Groveton downed Trinity 20-0.

Jack Sullivan went 3-for3 at the plate, driving in 4 runs, to lead the offense. Cash Moore, Tanner Steubing, Dax Parker and Brody Thornton each contributed 2 hits apiece, with Parker getting 3 RBIs. Trystin Ard got 3 RBIs on his 1 hit.

Steubing and Moore shared mound duties, each throwing 3 strikeouts.

Softball

Apple Springs

The Lady Eagles lost four in the Zavalla Tournament over the weekend, falling 13-0 to Newton and 11-1 to Martinsville on Friday, and then losing to Garrison 10-7 and to Cushing 7-4 on Saturday.

Against Newton, Kymber Roberts provided the lone hit, going 1-for-1 at the plate.

Abrie McWhorter gave up 11 runs on 6 hits on the mound while striking out 2, and reliever Makenzie Cockrell gave up 2 runs on 1 hit while striking out 3.

Against Martinsville, Chloe Aycock, Addy Parker and Cockrell each went 1-for-2, with Parker getting the lone RBI.

Cockrell gave up 6 runs and 4 hits while striking out 1 on the mound, and McWhorter gave up 5 runs and 3 hits.

Against Garrison, Aycock went 2-for-2 at the plate, driving in 4 RBIs, for the offense.

McWhorter gave up 10 runs on 6 hits and struck out 3.

Against Cushing, Cockrell and Brilynn Hicks each had a hit.

Cockrell gave up 7 runs and 5 hits while striking out 4.

Trinity

The Lady Tigers lost to Latexo 17-5 on Feb. 20.

Skylar Knight led the offense, going 2-for-3 and scoring a run.

Rainy Hall topped the mound, striking out 3 while giving up 15 hits.

During a weekend tournament, Trinity lost to East Central 5-0 and was downed by Chester 13-6.

Groveton

The Lady Indians went 4-1 at the Franklin Tournament over the weekend.

On Thursday, Groveton downed Elkhart 8-0 and edged out Huntington 3-2.

On Friday, the team lost to Hemphill 5-1 but downed Fairfield 9-3.

Then on Saturday, Groveton blanked Tatum 13-0.

On Feb. 20, Groveton downed Shepherd 4-0
