HUNTSVILLE — The Lady Indians placed third while the boys placed ninth at the UIL 2A-6A Region 3 Championship on Oct. 23.

In the 2A race, Jannette Bautista led Groveton with a fifth-place finish. The girls’ team has qualified for the state meet, set for Nov. 3 in Round Rock.

Meanwhile in 3A, the Trinity boys placed 11th behind the ninth-place finish of Michael Dudley, who has qualified for the state meet.
