Trinity falls to Lady Trojans

TRINITY — The Lady Tigers posted a 3-0 loss to Coldspring-Oakhurst on Sept. 26.
The loss puts Trinity at 3-3 in district (8-11 overall), which puts the team in 5th place.
Apple Springs
Head Coach Michael Powell said the Lady Eagles played Kennard on Tuesday and lost badly.
The bright spot in the match was Lauren Lankford, who had a great effort at the net with 5 blocks.
Groveton
The Lady Indians are at 4th in the district after losing in 4 sets to Lovelady on Friday.
The scores in the match were 27-25, 16-25, 17-25 and 12-25.
The loss puts Groveton’s record at 2-2 in district (11-16 overall).
Head Coach Loren Cooper said Libero Stormie Hensley’s defense was amazing in the match.
On Sept. 26, Groveton beat Grapeland 3-0.
Scores in that game were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-23.
