CHESTER — The Centerville Bulldogs won one and lost three during the Chester Tournament on the weekend.

Against Latexo, Centerville posted a 43-65 loss. Top scorers were Iain Kendrick with 18 points and Brayden Watson with 10 points.

Against Spurger, Centerville posted a 38-50 loss. Top scorers were Aydn Self with 15 points and Iain Kendrick with 12 points.

Against Deweyville, Centerville posted a 55-56 loss. Top scorers were Colton Brasuell with 19 points and Iain Kendrick with 15 points.

Against Kennard, Centerville posted a 47-25 win. Top scorers were Iain Kendrick with 12 points and Colton Brasuell with 11 points.

Apple Springs

The Eagles won one and lost three during the weekend tournament at Woodville.

Apple Springs lost to Woodville 68-20; lost to Coldspring 76-31; won against Goodrich 48-40; and lost to Lumberton 73-15.

Groveton

On Saturday, Groveton lost to Pineywoods Community Academy 51-42.

Trinity

The Tigers lost four games at the Houston County Holiday Tournament over the weekend.

Trinity lost to Diboll 65-32; lost to Madisonville 64-33; lost to Grapeland 59-38; and lost to Maypearl 55-40.

Groveton Girls

The Lady Indians lost two games in the last week.

Groveton was downed 56-38 by Crockett, and 41-39 by Buffalo.
