TRINITY COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a multiple vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market Road 356 approximately one mile east of Trinity that occurred Wednesday.

The report indicates that at approximately 6:05 p.m., a 2004 Ford F-150 was traveling west, followed by a 1998 Ford Expedition. The Ford F-150 and Ford Expedition slowed to avoid striking a dog that entered the roadway, when the driver of a 2006 Dodge Ram failed to control his speed and struck the rear of the Expedition, which was then pushed into the F-150.

The driver of the Ford F-150, 35-year-old Lisa Hall of Trinity, was transported to a hospital in Huntsville for treatment and one passenger was transported to CHI Lufkin for treatment.

The driver of the Ford Expedition, 26-year-old Michelle Dupuis of Trinity, and two passengers, including a 3-year-old child, were transported to a hospital in Huntsville for treatment.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, 24-year-old Joshua Madl of Huntsville, was not injured. Madl was cited for failing to control his speed and driving with a suspended license.

On July 18, DPS Troopers investigated a crash on state Highway 94 near Farm-to-Market Road 2262.

The report indicates that at approximately 1:04 p.m., a 2008 Dodge pickup was traveling northeast. The driver was traveling at a speed which was unsafe around a curve and traveled off the road to the right and then back to the left. This caused the pickup to travel into a side skid into the east ditch where it struck a tree and overturned.

The driver, 56-year-old Russell Davis of Groveton, was transported to Woodland Heights Medical Center for treatment. Davis was cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.
