The Lady Pirates fell to the Onalaska Lady Wildcats 3-0 on Oct. 3.

The Lady Pirates’ first two games were clearly in the hands of the Lady Wildcats, but the last and final game showed the spirit of the Lady Pirates. After tying the game at 24 all the Lady Pirates had to relinquish the ball to the Lady Cats for the last few services.

The Cats produced one score sending the score in favor of Onalaska 25-24.

Needing only one more score and the ball in the hands of the Cats the ball volleyed back and forth several times until the Lady Wildcats pushed the score to 26-25 and the series went to Onalaska.

Scores were 14-25, 12-25 and 24-26.

Coldspring

The Lady Trojans split games last week, downing Crockett 3-0 on Oct. 3 but falling to Anderson-Shiro 3-0 on Friday.

Against Crockett, the scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-12.

Standouts were Ella Phillips with 16 kills, Ashlynn Holley with 8 kills and Allie Muirhead with 24 assists and 8 kills.

Against Anderson-Shiro, scores were 22-25, 19-25 and 11-25.
