COLDSPRING — The Trojans were great out of the gate but could not go the distance, falling to Woodville 28-18 on Friday.

Coldspring received the ball first and it did not take long to score, then later on a return kick the Eagles fumbled, letting the Trojans move to 12-0.

From there, the Eagles dominated, posting four TD to the Trojans 1.

Luke Monroe had 27 yards passing and one TD; Cadyn Barton had 1 reception for 27 yards and a TD. The team had 127 total team yards with 100 rushing and 27 passing.

Shepherd

The Pirates lost to Palestine Westwood 42-28 on Friday.

Shepherd put up 400 yards in offense in the effort.

Leaders were Preston Stephens with 24 carries for 153 yards and 1 TD; Javaris Marsh with 11 carries for 63 yards and 1 TD; Braydon Mettlen caught 3 passes for 15 yards for 2 TDs; and quarterback Landon Dellinger went 4-for-10 passing for 122 yards, connecting with Mettlen for scores.
