Lady Lions maul Lady Pirates

SHEPHERD — The Lady Pirates stayed close for two matches, but ultimately dropped three straight to the Livingston Lady Lions.

Shepherd played it close in the first game, which ended with a 25-22 score. In the second game, Livingston was stronger, winning 25-15, and then completely overpowered the Lady Pirates in the third, 25-6.

On Aug. 29, the Lady Pirates dropped three to an experienced Splendora team, 25-9, 26-24 and 25-18.

Coldspring

The Lady Trojans swept Corrigan-Camden in three sets on Aug. 29.

Coldspring trailed in all three games early on but was able to rally in each. In the first set, they tied the game at eight and would score nine of the final 10 points to take a 25-13 win.
In the second set, the two teams were tied at 11 before Coldspring would distance themselves with a 25-16 victory.

Though starting slow in the third set, Coldspring took a commanding 14-4 lead and cruised to a 25-16 clincher.

The Lady Trojans were defeated by St. Joseph Catholic 2-1 on Thursday.

Final scores were 25-22, 30-29 and 25-8
