Guzman-Carbajal crowned Miss Polk County

Corrigan-Camden High School Junior Yolanda Guzman-Carbajal was crowned Miss Polk County during the 47th annual Miss Polk County Pageant Jan. 27. She is the daughter of Paloma and Ruperto Carbajal. Livingston High School Freshman Luisa Perez was crowned Junior Miss Polk County during the eighth annual Junior Miss Polk County pageant. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Maria Parmelly.

Fourteen high school juniors and seniors were vying for the title of Miss Polk County and seven high school freshmen and sophomores were vying for the title of Junior Miss Polk County. Various titles are awarded from the highest combined scores from interview, evening gown and final question, with numerous scholarships being awarded, the greatest of which is $2,000.

The top five finalists for Miss Polk County were Guzman-Carbajal, First Runner-Up Bailey Lenox, Second Runner-Up Mia Fabela, Kaleigh Tolar and Anastasia Wells. Lenox was the people’s choice winner. Fabela was the evening gown winner. Stevi Allemang was the Spirit of Polk County winner. Kayleigh Wilson was the ad sales winner. Wells was the talent winner, interview winner and Miss Photogenic winner.

The top three finalists for Junior Miss Polk County were Perez, First Runner-Up Maci Quinones and Second Runner-Up Makayla Williford. Quinones was the Miss Photogenic winner.
