CISD honored for work on athletic fields

Pioneer Athletics announced last week that Colmesneil ISD has been selected as a winner in its 2023 “Fields of Excellence” award.

As a winner, CISD will receive a certificate of recognition and a banner proclaiming that the school district’s athletics fields are truly “Fields of Excellence.” Pioneer may also use the winning picture of CISD’s winning field, Taylor Field, where the Bulldogs play football, in the upcoming publications for Pioneer Athletics products.

According to a news release from Pioneer, the company understands that excellence in athletic field maintenance often goes unrecognized. The award was established to honor the hard work of field crews who diligently maintain them. Since it was established in 1997, the award has honored more than 1,560 fields from across the country.
