On March 19, top offensive players for Coldspring were Haylee Rosales and Izzy Doggett, each with a hit apiece, with Addison Headley scoring the lone run.

Coldspring, Shepherd split their district games last week.

Coldspring won the first round 4-3 in Coldspring in a late-inning push, while on Saturday the reverse happened, and Shepherd won by the same score.

During the first game the Trojans jumped out in front by two runs early in the game and managed to stay ahead during the game. Same happened during the second game the only difference was, in front of the hometown crowd Tristen Cullum managed to post the win during the second game. Luke Monroe took the win during the first game.

Both teams were playing as though it was a playoff game — the intensity and competition were high.  Coach Austin Riddell of Coldspring said, “We just lost our focus during the second game at the start of the eighth inning and could not regroup fast enough.”
