Shepherd takes second in district meet

The Shepherd Lady Pirates powerlifters were runner-up on the 3A Region 4 meet in Bay City over the weekend.

The ladies missed the championship by only 2 points.

Five of the lifters qualified for the state meet,

Additionally, Aphia Baker was named Outstanding Squat and Bench Press and overall Best Lifter on the heavy platform.
