Coldspring FFA members win in district competition

HUNTSVILLE — Trojan FFA members were winners at the Area IX CDE Contests held at Sam Houston State University on April 2.
The Livestock Judging team placed first in district and second in area, with Kris Baker earning fifth high-point individual. The team — Cinco Bailes, Kris Baker, Heaven Burleson and Hayden Richards, will advance to state competition on April 27.

Also, the Milk Quality team placed 12th. Team members are Lane Madison, Chloe Shaikh and Bailee Bonn.
The Forestry team placed sixth, with Tripp Strickland earning eighth high-point individual. Team members are Wade Currie, Hunter Durdin, Caden Snodgrass and Tripp Strickland.
The Floriculture team of Trinity Henry, Kelsey Turpin, Brooke Franks and Emely Ranscher, placed 11th.
The Horse Judging team placed 29th. Team members are Kadie Pounders, Marlee Thornton, Colton Bailey and Walter Peachee.
