Registration opens for county fair

COLDSPRING — Registration for the 2024 San Jacinto County Fair and Rodeo opened April 1.

The annual event will be held Sept. 20-28 at the fairgrounds on Highway 150.

Cattle online registration runs until 8 a.m. May 3, and cattle validation will be held from 4-6 p.m. May 5.

Small animal online registration opens May 6 and closes at 8 a.m. May 31, and validation will be held from 8-9 a.m. June 2.

Registration is also open for the Educational Barn and will re-open in September for a second round of registration.

The exhibitor’s Social Security number is required to fill out the W9; additionally, animals stored in any place other than the registered address must have an off-premises form filled out and approved.
