22 youth compete in talent show

Twenty-two students participated in the second annual Polk County Leo Club Youth Talent Show and Dinner held April 27 in the Florence Crosby Auditorium at Creekside Elementary School. There were piano players, dancers, martial artists, ukulele players and singers.
First place and a prize of $500 went to Anthony Walls who sang. Second place and a prize of $250 went to Ava Sanford who sang. Third place and a $100 prize went to Kaleigh Standley who also sang. Cameron Ivory and Brenden Sanford receive honorable mention.
The Polk County Leo Club, a service club that is a Junior Lions Club, was chartered in March 2023. It is sponsored by the Livingston Lions Club and is joining the club in service to the Polk County communities. The club is made up of youth from Polk County that are 12-18 years old. It is open to home schoolers, Christian schoolers and students from any school in Polk County.
