AAUW LEARNS ABOUT PCRB

Susie Thornton, who serves on the board of Polk County Recycling & Beautification (PCRB), spoke to the Polk County Branch of the American Association of University Women during their February meeting. Thornton informed AAUW members of the guidelines for what items are accepted at Polk County Recycling Center located at 10311 Hwy. 146. The most popular items brought to the center are tin cans, aluminum cans, plastics and corrugated cardboard. The recycling center is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
