New pastor welcomed at FUMC

First United Methodist Church of Livingston welcomed its new pastor, Rev. Joel McMahon, this past week. McMahon comes to Livingston from League City United Methodist Church. He attended Texas A&M University and received his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is married to Stephanie, and they have two adult children, Stephen and Christina.

FUMC offers three worship services each Sunday. There’s a Gospel service at 9 a.m. in the main sanctuary, a contemporary worship with praise band at 9 a.m. on the second floor of the Holy Ground Discipleship Building and a traditional service with Chancel Choir at 11 a.m. in the main sanctuary.

Worship services may be viewed on YouTube at livingstonfumc. The services are also broadcast each Sunday at 11 a.m. on KETX 102.3 FM the Eagle.

A formal welcome will be held Sunday at noon in the church fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome to attend and welcome Pastor Joel and Stephanie. A light lunch will be served with cake and drinks. FUMC is located at 2801 U.S. Hwy. 190 West in Livingston. The telephone number is 936-327-7100
