Benefit scheduled for Salcedos

WOODVILLE – Woodville Health and Rehabilitation is hosting a fundraiser for Selena Salcedos.

Salcedos, a single mother of two, lost everything in a housefire recently.

The benefit will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on Wednesday, May 24, at the side parking lot of WH&R, located at 102 N. Beech Street, in Woodville. For $10, anyone can get a loaded baked potato, which includes barbecued brisket on the potato, all the fixings and a bottle of water.

According to Carletta Cramer of WH&R, the fundraiser was a way for the facility to help one of its own. Salcedos is employed as a CNA at WH&R.
