IVANHOE – In its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, April 20, the Ivanhoe City Council got some good news about the $11.4 million grant the city was awarded two years ago to rebuild several dams.

The money, which was allocated through the state’s General Land Office, was earmarked to rebuild the Lake Ivanhoe Dam, the Camelot Dam and for work along the Tristan Dam roadway. All of these structures were damaged in flooding events going back to 2015.

Ivanhoe Mayor Skip Blackstone began his regular report to council with the news.
