AdamsAdamsDOUCETTE – Deputies with the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office made a recent arrest in the Doucette area of a man who was reportedly seen walking down the road screaming and waving a knife.

According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, deputies responded to a call referencing the subject and his behavior, on CR 2770, at 10 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 24. The deputies were able to make contact with the individual, whom they identified as 42-year-old Anthony Ray Adams, of Woodville.

Adams was, according to Weatherford, “extremely intoxicated and talking to himself,” and he “appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic drug.”

During a search of Adams, the deputies located a knife and a clear plastic baggie containing a crystalline substance, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

He was arrested and transported to the Tyler County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford set Adams’s bond at $5,000. He has bonded out since then.
