DAM B – Tyler County Sheriffs’ deputies made an arrest last week of a Dam B man who was in possession of drugs and a warrant for his arrest out of neighboring Hardin County.

According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, deputies made contact with Thomas Ray “Trey” Moore III, a 29-year-old Dam B man, on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 12:15 a.m. They had stopped at a residence located on county road 4098 to serve an arrest warrant to Moore, and Weatherford said that while the deputies spoke with him, it was confirmed that he did, in fact, have a warrant out of Hardin County for his arrest on a charge of felony controlled substance possession for failure to appear.

The deputies searched Moore, and discovered a glass bulb, which Weatherford said contained a crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Moore was transported to the Tyler County Justice Center, and along with the charge out of Hardin County, was given a new charge of felony possession of a controlled substance for the meth.

Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Ken Jobe set Moore’s bonds at $80,000, and he remains in custody of Tyler County.
