Lady Indians win district honors

Three Groveton volleyball players received player of the year honors for the District 23 2A volleyball season.
Kiki Smith was named offensive player of the year; Stormie Hensley was named defensive player of the year; and Landree Martin was named server of the year.
Paislie Voelker, Emma Alexander and Aubrey Alexander were named to All-District first team.
Caila Antley, Jannette Bautista and Kady Lee were named to All-District second team.
Daisia Leonard received honorable mention.
Smith, Emma Alexander, Aubrey Alexander, Voelker, Martin, Hensley, Leonard, Lee, Antley, Bautista and Rylie Due also were named to the Academic All-District team.
