The Republican Women of Trinity County’s Liberty Over Texas Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, May 6th, at the Westwood Shores Golf Course & Country Club.

The first-place team included Dylan Thompson, Larry Thompson, Sue See and Robert See. The second-place team Bobbie Fisher, Rich Chamberlin, Bob “Gunner” Smith and Gene McLeod. The Veteran’s Golf Association is an all Veterans of Foreign Wars team. A mystery team included Terry Williams, Rick Zimont, Kevin Tackett and Brian Miller.

Special thanks to State Rep. Trent Ashby, who sponsored the First Responder Team, which consisted of Clint Sizemore, Scott Womack, Allen Ramsey and Cody Mauldin. Special Thanks go to Travis Elliott, owner of Delta T Heating and Cooling, for sponsoring a Trinity ISD team. The students who participated were Hayden Taylor, Jace Cambill, Jayden Bell and Seth Caldwell.

Special thanks go out to the sponsors, players and volunteers to make this year’s Liberty Over Texas Golf Tournament a huge success.

The Republican Women of Trinity County is a political action committee that furthers the ideals and candidates of the Republican Party and helps fund TFRW/NFRW Caring for America causes. In 2022, the organization was able to donate close to $3,500 to entities in need. In 2023, we are looking at the same or more.
