TRINITY — You see it in the line of family members pushed up against the railings taking photos, in the toddlers parading around with Western wear and Johnny Cash T-shirts, in the smell of the wood shaving in the show arena and the sounds of the Midway carnival rides and screams of the passengers.

It’s family, fun, and fair time, and it brings rural communities together to celebrate achievement.

Fair Board President Mike Burk said the community came through in a big way; the events been smooth, the numbers of exhibits, visitors and vendors are up, and the auction did well, with some of the highest dollar amounts they’ve seen in a few years.

Board Member Tally Jo Stout said the Trinity County Fair Association offers its heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary buyers and supporters who made the 75th annual celebration a resounding success.

“With a tip of the hat to our generous community, 49 livestock and shop projects brought in a remarkable $149,420 at auction,” she said. “From Stetsons to hard hats, our community wears many hats, and we're reminded that the true wealth of our community lies in its unwavering support for our youth and their endeavors.

“Your investment today crowns the achievements of tomorrow's leaders,” she said. “Thank you for 75 years of believing in the next generation!"
