Polk County Game Warden Dustin Shoemaker will be the guest speaker for the October meeting of the Lake Livingston Fishing Club aka The Happy Hookers at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Livingston.
Shoemaker will give a presentation on all the aspects that a Texas Game Warden is trained for and involved in – and it is a great deal more than just checking for fishing and hunting licenses.
“If you have a pre-teen or teen in your household, or granddaughter or grandson, please bring them along to the meeting. This presentation is not only interesting and informative for adults but would also be interesting for your younger family members,” Head Hooker Mike Bischoff said, adding, “I encourage everyone to attend and bring along a fishing friend.”
The mission of the Lake Livingston Fishing Club aka The Happy Hookers is to enhance the enjoyment of fishing and the outdoors. The group is free and open to all and meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at First Presbyterian Church which is located at 910 N. Washington in Livingston.
