Pirate athletes sign letters of intent

SHEPHERD — Luke Moore signed a letter of intent to go to Graceland University in Iowa to play baseball. He was signed to pitch and do a little bit of catching for Graceland. Luke wants to finish school and remain in the sports field.

Also, Celine Orozco signed a letter of intent to go to Ottawa University for powerlifting. When she finishes school she want to open her own training facility and help athletes to get to the top of their abilities injury free.

Orozco started her powerlifting career during the Covid year.

She said, “I am an athlete and I needed a way to stay in shape and I started lifting weights. It soon became a competitive sport for her.
