Top athletes

Coldspring’s Carter Currie will compete in the pole vault at the State Track and Field Tournament on May 11, starting sixth with a qualifying jump of 14 feet. While not enough to qualify for state, Miki Ellisor placed 14th in the regional meet with a jump of 7 feet 6 inches, and fellow athlete Tess Phillips placed 8th with a jump of 8 feet 6 inches.
