COLDSPRING — A county building was damaged after a driver crashed into it in an attempt to park.

According to information from The Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, on Cedar Avenue at the San Jacinto County Annex Building

Reports indicate that the 2015 Toyota SUV driven by Dianne Griffith, 71, of Coldspring, was traveling east on Cedar Avenue, and the driver failed to control the vehicle speed while attempting to turn right into a parking spot at the County Tax Office.

The driver was treated on scene for minor injuries, the report states.

Griffith was cited for failing to control her speed. Her passenger, identified as 42-year-old Shawna Hagen, was not injured.
