Nerf War planned to raise funds for World Series

Texas Slam is hosting a Nerf War fundraiser on Feb. 18 at the Texas Slam facility to raise funds to send its 9U team to the World Series. The event is open to boys and girls ages five through 15.

Registration will be conducted online at jotform.com. There is also a flyer with a QR code that can be used to register. It costs $25 to play for one hour. The Nerf War will be 15 kids versus 15 kids playing Capture the Flag. If one team captures the flag in five minutes they will play again and again until their hour is up.

Participants must bring their own Nerf gun that takes regular size bullets. No oversized bullets will be allowed. Bullets will be provided for each child.

Five, six and seven-year-olds will play from 9-10 a.m. Eight, nine and 10-year-olds will play from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and again from noon to 1 p.m. Eleven and 12-year-olds will play from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thirteen, 14 and 15-year-olds will play from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Each participant will receive a shirt and safety glasses to keep.
