Forty-five teams participated in the 3rd annual Smoke in the Pines Barbecue Cook-Off hosted by the Livingston-Polk County Chamber of Commerce recently at Pedigo Park and held in accordance with the International Barbecue Cookers Association (IBCA) judging rules and guidelines.

This year’s event was bigger and better with lots more activities in which to participate. In addition to the barbecue cook-off, there was an auto and bike show, a kid’s Q, a cornhole tournament and lots of vendor booths.

Participants came from all over the state but most of them came out of the Gulf Coast region, Clifton said.
