The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female advising that her nephew had been stabbed. 

Deputies responded to the residence, located near the 2500 block of FM 2610.

Deputies and EMS personnel arrived on the scene and located a deceased male victim, identified as Michael Shane Treadway, 47, of Elgin, Texas.  Deputies also located the suspect Michael David Treadway, 67 of Livingston.

Detectives initiated an investigation into the incident and it was determined that Michael David Treadway stabbed Michael Shane Treadway after an argument and physical altercation between the two.  

Upon further investigation and interviews, Michael David Treadway was placed under arrest and transported to the Polk County Jail, where he was charged and booked for murder.

Michael David Treadway, is currently being held in the Polk County Jail on a $200,000 bond, set by Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Terri Mayer.

    New the dad, 52 yrs, we not all perfect son is sent me a video of them singing going to Walmart, something must have went badly wrong to have started a fight and end up in this situation and praying for the families of all I know he loved his son

    New the son. He was a great man and he will be missed by so many that loves him very much. Vicky you are in my prayers and i love you . Family is also in my prayers.

    The son was my cousin he was a good man and was trying to better himself his dad the murder has always been a piece of shit I hope he never gets out. I spoke to my cousin the night he died he was in good spirits. HIS SPIRM Donner needs to rot in hell.
