Funeral services for Richard Louis Carlisle, 83, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, were held Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Lynn Sasser officiating. Interment followed at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation was held Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 5-7 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Richard Louis Carlisle was born May 15, 1941 in Longview, Texas and passed away July 22, 2024 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Louis Carlisle and Mildred Sarah (Murrell) Carlisle; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Winfred and Evelyn Robinett.

Mr. Carlisle was a graduate of the University of Houston and later moved to Livingston with his family. He bought Epstein’s Drug Store in 1976 and later opened the Brookshire Brothers Pharmacy. In 1999, he and his family moved to Brownwood, Texas and bought the Winn Pharmacy. Richard retired and lived on Lake Livingston where he enjoyed fishing and cruising with Debbie. He hunted with his friends, Dino and “Gang,” and loved dove hunting with his sons every year.

Richard is survived by his wife, Debbie (Robinett) Carlisle of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sons and daughtersin- law, Jeff Merryman and RICHARD LOUIS CARLISLE Service held Sunday

Julie of Houston, Texas, Eddie Merryman and Angie of Greenwood, Texas, Stephen Campbell and Sarah of Oxford, Mississippi, and Daniel Campbell and Stephanie of Fairfield, Texas; grandchildren, Payton, Dawson, Hannah, Ashley, Logan, Blake, Lance, Luke and Scot; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Robert Dillard of Kingwood, Texas; special niece, Sarah Robinett of Livingston, Texas; and brother-inlaw, Ronald Robinett, of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Logan Campbell, Dawson Merryman, Stephen Campbell, Payton Merryman, Greg Dillard and Russell Dillard.
