Dogwood Princess candidates chosen

The Princesses for the 2022 Tyler County Dogwood Festival have completed the judging process.  The Kingsmen have chosen a queen, and her identity will be kept a secret until the she is crowned at the coronation on Saturday, April 2. 

Representing Chester High School is Emma Grimes, daughter of Bronson and Susan Grimes. Sadie Calhoon, daughter of Donald and Melanie Calhoon, will represent Colmesneil.  Spurger will be represented by Abagail LeBlanc, daughter of Brad and Amy LeBlanc.  Zoe Gonzalez will represent Warren High School.  Zoe is the daughter of John and April Gonzalez.  Representing Woodville this year is Kirby Wright, daughter of Morgan and Chesney Wright. 

These young ladies will be busy the next few months, as they will be building and decorating their floats for the Dogwood Parade, making publicity appearances, and making memories at events during the Festival of the Arts and during the Western Weekend. 

The Festival of the Arts will be held March 19-20.  Western Weekend is the following weekend, March 25-26, and the festival will conclude with events on Saturday, April 2.  For more information, visit the Tyler County Dogwood Festival Facebook page or website at www.tylercountydogwoodfestival.org.
