Public hearing on appeal slated

A public hearing will be held on an appeal by Coast 2 Coast Signs regarding the denial of a sign permit for an off-premise pylon sign at 1620 W. Church St. to advertise for Panda Express and Starbucks during the regular meeting of the Livingston City Council at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Following the hearing, Council is slated to discuss and consider possible action on the appeal.

Livingston Police Chief Matt Parrish and Lieutenant Marty Drake will make a presentation to Council regarding the use of Flock Group Inc. automated license plate recognition cameras. Following the presentation, Council is expected to consider action on a proposed resolution authorizing a contract agreement with Flock Group Inc. for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and monitoring of five cameras.

The increase in amounts per call for the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, including emergency calls, non-emergency calls and drills, will be discussed and considered for possible action.

Council is expected to consider possible action on the confirmation of the mayor’s appointment of an electrical inspector.

An executive session is on the agenda at which time Council may consult with the city attorney if necessary. Any business requiring action, however, will be conducted upon return to open session.

City Manager Bill S. Wiggins will update Council on projects and events. Other items on the agenda include approval of the minutes of the March 8 regular meeting and accounts over $500.
