CROCKETT – For those of you seeking inexpensive ways to entertain your kids this summer, look no further than your local public library. Crockett Public Library offers opportunities for your

children to have fun and learn at the same time.
The Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program started on June 7, but it’s not too late to enter. Register in person at the library for a chance to win a $100 prize.

Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. is Family Storytime, with an occasional surprise guest. On June 14, Bright Star Theater will present Treasure Island, and on July 19, the special guest will be Nancy and Friends. And as added extra treat, activity bags are available each week following Family Story Time.

On Thursdays at 2 p.m., visit the library for Boredom Busters. Each week features unique art, music, and science activities for kids and their caretakers. June 16 will feature Electric Playdough; on June 23 guests will learn about Gyotaku- Japanese Fish Printing, and the Build a Boat Challenge is scheduled for June 30.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating in the summer events, you can contact Judy Scott at (936) 544-3089 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
