Caddo

Water clear; 67 degrees; 1.30 feet high. Fishing is good and should only get better as the spring goes on with the lake looking and setting up for a great spawn! The full moon had the female bass moving up this last week and we had several big girls caught. Still attacking bass with finesse tactics like wacky worms or flukes using natural colors in clear water and dark colors in stained water. Still just a great time to come out and enjoy this beautiful lake God made with so much history on it, Caddo is one of a kind. Report provided by Vince Richards, Caddo Lake Fishing & Fellowship

Conroe

Slightly stained; 59 degrees; 0.14 feet low. Catfish are good on following ledges near structure, or on baited holes in 15-24 feet of water using liver, shrimp, and catfish bubblegum. Hybrid bass are schooling in 19-28 feet of water trolling with a hellbender and a pet spoon, or using your electronics with the deadsticking technique, thumping or splashing. White bass and hybrid bass are moving up shallow in 6-12 feet of water. Crappie are shallow in standing timber, lay downs, and brush piles in 12-26 feet of water biting white/chartreuse Lone Star Crappie Hair Jigs, and black/chartreuse plastics from Constant Pursuit Outfitters, and minnows. They should begin to spawn when water temperatures reach 59-62 degrees. Black bass are good with multiple catches of buck bass on beds using creature baits and RatLTraps in 3-8 feet of water. Sight casting is possible in some areas. Always wear your life jacket. Report by Mike Cason, Fishical Therapy Lake Conroe Fishing Guide.
