Crockett High School conducted its first softball camp in several years last Monday and Tuesday with 20-plus participants ranging from incoming kindergarten through freshmen.
Lady Bulldog head coach Paul Ellsworth oversaw a staff that included new assistant coach Marla Hust along with several current and past CHS players.
Rotating work stations allowed campers to participate in various drills that covered fielding ground balls, base running, outfield drills, introductions to pitching and catching, and batting mechanics.
Camp sessions ran from 9 a.m. until noon each day.
"Our goal is to improve swings, throws, catching, fielding, base running and overall knowledge of the game of softball," said Ellsworth.
