Spay and neuter coupons still available

HOUSTON COUNTY – It’s not too late to get a $50 voucher to have your cat or dog spayed or neutered.

Last October, the Houston County Commissioner’s Court authorized the issuance of one hundred vouchers for spaying and neutering services. Sharon Luker, Administrative Assistant to the Commissioners, recently shared that 40 coupons out of the hundred are still available.

Applicants will be required to fill out an application. One voucher will be available per household, regardless of income.

The application will require proof of residency and a current driver license, and once approved, the voucher will be good for 30 days from the date of its issuance.

If you would like one of the vouchers, go by the Houston County administrative office or call Sharon Luker at (936) 544-3255, extension 279. Remember to help control the pet population: have your car or dog spayed or neutered.
