CROCKETT – The Crockett Family Resort and Marina hosted a unique group of motorcycle enthusiasts this past weekend as riders gathered from across the area to participate in the “Sidecar Games.” Lee Culthorp, a spokesperson for the group meeting at the marina, said they try to hold events at least twice a year in the general region. Contests included a “piggy toss,” where motorcyclists drove slowly past baskets while their sidecar riders attempted to toss a plastic “Miss Piggy” into the container, or the blindfold drive, in which motorcyclists tried to drive in a straight line to a cone without tipping it over. Like horseshoes, the closest to the cone wins. For anyone who might be interested in the Sidecar Association, you can contact Avanelle Lewis, USCA Ambassador, at (935) 546-0756.
