Annual Davy Crockett festival this weekend

CROCKETT – The annual Davy Crockett Music and Arts Festival, which is hosted by the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce, will be a jam-packed weekend of food, art, and music- an event guaranteed to entertain the entire family.
The festival begins on Friday, June 10, and runs through Sunday, June 12.
This year, the event will host an IBCA sanctioned cook-off on Friday and Saturday. The categories are chicken, pork spare ribs and brisket.
Everyone loves a classic car show, and this one will not disappoint. Classic cars, trucks, hot rods, rat rods, modern muscle cars, and motorcycles will be featured. Bring your fave out and enter the competition for a host of categories.
There is a $10 early bird registration - $20 day off. Pre-register at www.crockettareachamber.org.
On Sunday, June 12, Prosperity Bank will sponsor the Master Cupcake Challenge. The three categories are 6-11-year-olds, 12-17-year-olds, and adults.
On Friday night, Moe Bandy, sponsored by The Loft, will perform at the Crockett Civic Center. Throughout Saturday, free live music will be presented on two stages in the park. The lineup includes Nathan James, Ryan Lawless, Crockett State of Mind, Youth showcase (TBA), and Johnny Riley & The T-Roy Show. Rooftop Travelers will top out the evening with an 8 p.m. concert.
