Bob Sandlin
GOOD. Water stained; 65-70 degrees; 0.08 feet below pool. Crappie are good in 2-6 feet of water using minnows under a slip cork. Sand bass are good on main lake points in 30 feet of water using slabs. Catfish are good in 15-20 feet of water on baited holes using cheese bait. Try small poppers on cloudy days with low light. Crappie are spawning, so fish near boat houses and retaining walls with slow sinking wooley patterns. Caddo
SLOW. Water stained; 60 degrees; 1.62 feet above pool. The tree bite is tough while the lake level continues to fall, but the river bite has picked up with the extra current. White bass are now running in the river, with a few black bass are mixed in, biting on rattletraps and crankbaits. The bass tree bite should pick back up once the lake settles and with the new moon coming, but in the meantime you can get a few bites on flukes or senkos. There are some grass spots showing up with post spawn fish feeding on the shad spawn, so cast shad pattern baits or flukes in these areas. Conroe
GOOD. Water stained; 69 degrees; 0.19 feet below pool. Catfish are biting great all over the lake. They are on bulkheads early and late day and on baited holes all day from 8-40 feet of water. Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Bass fishing is improving as water conditions stabilize. To locate some bites now, be patient, persistent, and cover some water. The water is still off-colored, so crankbaits, spinnerbaits, Texas rigged worms, and Shaky Heads are good choices. Bulkheads adjacent to deeper water can hold bass early on. Bass are in cover, structure, and docks in 6-9 feet of water. Also, deeper structure and laydowns are producing larger fish with vertical jigging. Experiment with brighter colors like chartreuse or white to see if they get a better response in off-colored water. Report by Bryan Brawner, Lake Conroe Charters. Crappie are aggressive, with more solid thumps than a lite bite using Lone Star Crappie Jigs, plastic or hair have been producing better fish in 12-28 feet of water. The bite has been getting a few a most spots. Hybrid stripers are good jigging, casting swimbaits, or live bait on the edge of drop offs and flats in 18-27 feet of water using live bait or jigging MT Pockets tackle spoons, or trolling. Fork
GOOD. Water Stained; 55-62 degrees; 1.21 feet below pool. The bite at Lake Fork is still slow due to fish spawning. Sight fishing is producing some catches. Best bite if not sight fishing is points and secondary points with Carolina rigs with caffeine Shad from Strike King in 2-6 feet. Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are picking up a few on windy banks and points, but it is a grind. Flukes and frogs in the grass will produce a few bites. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Blass bass are good working small fish patterns around green grass. Crawfish patterns are working in flooded grass and brush. Lake Fork crappie fishing is finally starting to make the transition into some post spawn patterns this week. Most black crappie are done spawning and headed back to deeper water. We finally saw big groups of black crappie stacking up together on trees for the first time today. We are also seeing white crappie that have already spawned and are moving towards their summer areas. We should see way more fish begin to load up on brush, laydowns and summer trees over the next few weeks. Small hand tied jigs are producing very well on my boat each day but minnows are working great right now and soft plastics will work also. Houston County
GOOD. Water stained; 63-68 degrees; 0.09 feet above pool. Largemouth bass are good out to three feet with bass on beds. Sight fishing is in play working swim jigs, Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. Crappie are good out to seven feet on minnows. Catfish out to 10 feet on cut bait. Lake O' the Pines
GOOD. Water stained; 60-65 degrees; 0.41 feet above pool. Crappie are good in 2-6 feet of water using minnows under a cork. Sand bass are slow north of the 155 Bridge. Livingston

Martin Creek
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 70 degrees; 0.01 feet below pool. Bass are good working senkos, flukes and swimbaits over hydrilla. Bass are moving deep on points and brush hitting deep diving crankbaits and worms. Crappie are good using minnows and jigs over brush in 25 feet of water on ⅛ ounce jigs. The catfish are moving shallow to spawn.

Nacogdoches
GOOD. Water clear; 67-72 degrees; 0.19 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are good. Spring fishing is in full swing. Fish can be found up shallow on grass edges or shallow creek channels. Naconiche
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 70 degrees. Fishing seems to be in a transition period. It looks like the vast majority of the bass spawn is over based on the fact that we are not finding bass on beds. These fish should be moving back out toward some deeper water to start their post-spawn mode and to feed on heavily on shad. This should bring the offshore bite back into play. The only problem is that we are not seeing the much needed shad swarms out in the creek channels. Find the shad and you will find the bass. The crappie population is good. Catfish are slow. Raven
SLOW. Water clear; 65 degrees; 0.00 feet full pool. Fishing continues to be tough between the muddy conditions and the temperature drop, the fishing has been slow all around. Best chance for crappie is live minnows, and catfish would be live or cut bluegill. Bass are slow, but dark colors worked slow around grass edges will get a couple bites.

Sam Rayburn
GOOD. Water stained; 68 degrees; 1.03 feet above pool. Bass are still shallow and spawning. Flip crankbaits, jigs and soft plastics into buck brush and timber, and the grass lines in 6-12 feet of water. Some fish can be found on secondary points or looking for their summer home in deeper water with Carolina or Texas rigged soft plastics. Wade anglers catching crappie shallow, and some have moved out to brush piles. Catfish are spawning on shallow flats and in the creek channels on cut or stink bait. Toledo Bend
GOOD. Water stained; 62-67 degrees; 1.14 feet below pool.

Tyler
GOOD. Water stained; 66 degrees; 0.20 feet above pool. Bass are good spawning shallow on beds biting your favorite plastics. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows moving back to brush piles.
