Court calls meeting to discuss relocations, property purchase

CROCKETT – County Commissioners quickly moved to pass the agenda items listed at the called special meeting held on April 4. The items included accepting bids for delivered concrete used to install a floor in the Precinct 1 equipment and relocating the Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace and Constable to a new location at 110 East Houston Avenue. The new site will be designated as an Annex to the Courthouse.

The court also authorized the renovation of the office space in the County Courthouse previously designated to the Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace and Constable but tabled action on beginning the renovations on the County Clerk’s Land and Deed Room inside the Courthouse so bids on the project could be obtained.

After adjourning to executive session, the commissioners reconvened to approve the letter of intent to purchase property located at 415 East Goliad Avenue.
