Teacher on leave for relationship with student

A Hardin ISD teacher is on administrative leave following his arrest in Polk County for improper relationship between educator and student.

Based on an investigation conducted by detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined that a female student from Polk County allowed the teacher to pick her up and go to a location in Polk County where sexual acts occurred in the back of his vehicle before returning her to her home.

Jahmall Le’Sean Thomas, 39 of Dayton, was arrested Sept. 3 and booked into the Polk County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
