WOODVILLE – The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a stolen travel trailer, and have identified an individual who was seen on a camera at the scene of the theft.

According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, the theft occurred at sometime between Thursday, July 25 and Saturday, July 27. Weatherford said the TCSO deputies were dispatched to a location on US 190 West, near the airport, on a call about a stolen tan 2017 Cherokee Wolf Pup travel trailer.

The following day, a White male subject was seen on the property, captured by a surveillance camera, looking into a building. He was driving an older model beige Chevrolet or GMC SUV with aftermarket wheels, according to Weatherford. Since then, the subject was identified when photos from the camera were posted to social media accounts.

Weatherford said the name of the man is not yet public, and no arrest has been made; that the man is just a person of interest, and the case investigation is still ongoing.

“The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for multiple calls and tips in regard to this investigation,” Weatherford said.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the stolen travel trailer, please call the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office at 409-283-2172. You may also submit an anonymous tip through the East Texas Crime Stoppers network at www.639tips.com or call 936-639-TIPS.

Tips submitted to Crime Stoppers are anonymous from the initial contact to the arrest, if there is sufficient evidence to result in an arrest, and are subject to cash rewards for the tipsters.
