One killed in two-vehicle crash

APPLE SPRINGS — Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a fatal crash on Farm-to-Market Road 357, near Farm-to-Market Road 2501, that occurred Monday.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 9:12 a.m., a Ford Edge was traveling south, while a GMC van was traveling north. It is reported that the Ford crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck the GMC.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Woodland Heights Hospital and was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

According to the DPS, the driver information for both vehicles and the name of the victim is not available at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
