2024 BEST of POLK COUNTY
Voting for the Polk County Enterprise’s 2024 Best of Polk County Readers’ Choice Awards concluded July 31 and 74,874 total votes were cast.
The annual event provides an opportunity to recognize local businesses, professionals, nonprofits and citizens. Everyone can participate by going to easttexasnews.com and registering, which only involves using an email address.
The 2024 Best of Polk County Readers’ Choice Awards occurred in three phases. The first phase, the nomination process, occurred during the month of June when over 30,000 nominations were received. Individuals had the opportunity to nominate their favorites up to once a day per email address. The month-long nomination process determined the finalists who were eligible for Best of Polk County.
The top 10 selections in each category entered the second phase, the voting phase, which ran throughout the month of July. During this time, voters had the opportunity to select their favorites among the top 10 in each category and were allowed to vote up to once a day per email address.
The third phase is the culmination of the annual readers’ choice awards when the winners of each category are recognized in a special section that will be included in the Nov. 3 issue of the Polk County Enterprise. First, second and third place winners will be contacted individually.
