Woodville cheerleaders attend camp

Last week, the Woodville High School cheerleaders traveled to attend UCA Cheer Camp at Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston. 

After spending fours days at camp, the squad earned a number of awards including:

•Gold Ribbon for Sideline/Cheer

•Gold Ribbon for Camp Routine

•Spirit Gameday Champions

•Camp Routine Champions

•Second Place Sideline (Situational Chant)

•Day Two Top Banana Award

•Three Squad Spirit Sticks

•Three Mascot Spirit Sticks

 Additionally, WHS Cheer had seven members named as UCA All - American Cheerleaders. Those cheerleaders are: senior Rhianna Hart; senior Harmoni Lewis; freshman Gracen Cox; senior Shaniyan Hart; sophomore Ruby Shirley; sophomore Kimberli Scott and and senior Cirvyve Lee.

 Two members, Kolbi Hutto and Kimberli Scott, were awarded the “Pin It Forward” Award. This award recognizes campers for qualities that make them stand out, such as leadership, hard work, or a positive attitude.

 Rocky the Eagle brought home the Epic Mascot Award and four seniors, Shaniyan Hart, Rhianna Hart, Harmoni Lewis, and Cirvyve Lee, were invited to tryout and serve on UCA staff following graduation.

 Coaches Jamie Weaver and Krystal Hayes are excited for continued success this coming season.
