WOODVILLE – The filing deadline for the coming Woodville ISD Board of Trustees election is approaching, with Monday, August 19 being the last day that interested candidates can file for a place on the ballot.
The spots on the board up for re-election are: place #3 (Richard “Kooter” Shaw); #4 (Bryan Shirley) and #5 (Kris Fowler). The terms are three-year terms, and up for vote on the Nov. 5 regular election ballot.
The applications, according to the WISD administration office are accepted from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the window to file opened on July 20. The applications will be taken until 4 p.m. on the August 19 deadline date.
The applications can be mailed to the WISD Administration Building or delivered in person. That address is 505 North Charlton Street, Woodville, Texas 75979. If a candidate wishes to mail the application, it needs to be addressed to the attention of WISD Superintendent Lisa Meysembourg. Applications for a place on the ballot may also be emailed to [email protected].
